Animation and Music
(Cinema São Jorge – sala 2)

Music emerges in a close relationship with film even before sound cinema, in silent film screenings with performances by live musicians. This proximity is always very constant throughout the history of cinema and has a particularly important role in the history of animation film. Music shapes atmospheres, defines actions and characters, stresses or opposes the storyline, playing a very important role in the art of creating the illusion of movement. In this panel, musicians with prolific and recognized work in animation and a director/animator strongly connected to music will be exchanging experiences and ideas.
