This presentation aims at offering animation as a way of thinking in delivering an educational content and at the same time an attribute that needs to be instilled and developed. Utilising animation in delivering a course content is a compatibility which will be beneficial to all educators due to the freedom that it provides over content development.

SUMMIT – Higher education in animation

MONSTRA is hosting a Summit on Higher Education in Animation, acknowledging the importance of sharing expertise and experience, opportunities and challenges amongst teaching institutions.
We are privileged to welcome animation professionals who are also teachers in some of the most renowned schools in the world every year.
During this summit, schools are invited to share their views and approaches to animation teaching and interact with each other and the audience.
We intend to promote a better knowledge of the central issues animation teaching deals with, confluence points and diversity.

Portuguese animation has been evolving in terms of quality and quantity, receiving recognition from festivals around the world.
This round table aims at showing the difference between its actual present state – of great vitality and very promising – and public recognition. Directors from the main Portuguese animation studios are invited to present their projects in progress.
