On March 16th, MONSTRA, the biggest Lisbon Animation Festival, returns with one more memorable edition in which we will explore the unpredictable that arises in the contrast to different techniques and imaginaries.
The programme covers over 400 movies from 46 different countries all over the world. Besides being a special programme dedicated to Bulgaria, this year’s guest country, MONSTRA also presents, for the first time, works of Egypt and Pakistan in the international competition.
From pencil drawing to digital illustration, from West to East, the 21st Lisbon Animation Festival promises to take Cinema São Jorge, Portuguese Film Library, Film Library Júnior, and Cinema City Alvalade on a great journey that performs endless creative possibilities and social potential from Animation.
