New Year, new website!
Almost celebrating its 20 years, MONSTRA has decided to improve its digital home! To be sure that everyone is feeling well; from the digital natives to the older followers that have been with us since 2000 – the year when the best of animation cinema started to come to Lisbon – we reorganized the information that already existed and added new tools, so no one feels left out.
The preparations for the big birthday, happening from the 18th to the 29th of March, have already started and along with the space to share the program of the following edition, we share the archive of past editions. There, you’ll find former communication materials, such as photos, posters, catalogues and flyers.
However, in 2020, the greatest news is the presentation of the program inside a mobile app to use in smartphones and other electronic devices. Besides representing a more ecologic solution, it is also a more efficient way to keep the program easily within reach.
The search can be made through different filters (date, local, time or name of the activity/film session) and it will be possible to pick the events we are interest in and actually want to go to. The new motto will be, “Don’t write it down, just click!”.
To clarify potential doubts about MONSTRA, and particularly about the 2020 edition, we’ve answered the most frequently asked questions so that, step by step, you’ll start to feel more at home.
By virtue of its notorious success, MONSTRINHA – a section dedicated to animation cinema for kids (accompanied by adults) – is once again an autonomous section in the menu. The presentation of the program for schools, scheduled for January 14th, in Cinemateca Júnior (Lisbon), is right around the corner.
Creating this new website, we are certain that this MONSTRA and all its successors enter a new decade fresher and looking forward the future, always with the same mission: to search for the best animation cinema.
