THE MAGIC OF AARDMAN STUDIOS

MONSTRA and the Museu da Marioneta inaugurate ‘The Magic of Aardman Studios’, the first exhibition by the British studio in Lisbon.
This coming February 14th at 6pm, MONSTRA – Lisbon Animation Festival, in partnership with Museu da Marioneta, will inaugurate the first exhibition in Lisbon of the british Aardman Studio -a studio based in Bristol, England, founded in 1976 by David Sproxton and Peter Lords-, which created “Shaun the Sheep” and “Chicken Run”, among many others.
All in all, there will be 47 puppets, 8 sets, several storyboards and various sketches shown at the Bernardas Convent, where this museum is located. The portuguese public will be able to see the puppets from the films and television series which made this one of the most well-known and admired studios in the world live: Wallace and Gromit (tv series and films), “Creature Comforts” (tv series), “Timmy Time” (tv series), “Shaun the Sheep” (tv series and film), “Chicken Run” (2000), “Morph” (tv) and “Early Man” (2018).
