From April 24th until May 3rd, MONSTRA will bring Portuguese animation to Morocco.
Until April 28th, MONSTRA will be present at the 2nd edition of the Printemps du Cinéma Portugais. This iniciative will happen in Institut Supérieur des Métiers de l’Audiovisuel et du Cinéma – ISMAC in Rabat.
Several Portuguese animation films will be screened from some of the most important Portuguese animation directors like Regina Pessoa, José Xavier, Vasco Sá, David Doutel, Abi Feijó, José Miguel Ribeiro and Pedro Serrazina, winner of the Best Portuguese Film at MONSTRA 2017. The films will be presented in two sessions, one of them dedicated to Fado and Animation.
This iniciative has the support of the Instituto Camões, the Portuguese Embassy in Morocco and from Agência da Curta Metragem.
Fernando Galrito, MONSTRA´s artistic diretor, will be making workshops in Rabat and Marrakech schools and also children workshops at the SOS Children’s Village in El Jadida. In addition, the artistic diretor will give a very special masterclass about his work and about Lisbon´s Animated Film Festival, that in 2018 will held is 17th edition.
