The couple’s story flourishes, passing through four phases of Brazil’s history: colonization, slavery, military regime and the future, in 2096, when a war over water takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

Tito quickly discovers that the cure is somehow related to his missing father's research into bird music. Tito then embarks on an adventure to save the world from the epidemic with his friends. Tito's search for the antidote becomes a search for his missing father and his own identity.
